Maximum Tenure: One (1) year.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

A member for at least a year or child of a parent/guardian who must be a member for a minimum of 1 year.

The award is available to:

Individuals who are members of the University of The West Indies (Mona) & Community Co-Operative Credit Union for at least one year or the spouse or child of such a member; [The member's account held at the Credit Union MUST be active at the time of application.]
Students pursuing undergraduate degree courses at UWI Mona Campus, University of Technology, Teachers Colleges or any other recognized Tertiary institution locally or overseas;
Involvement in co-curricular activities
Students in their second or third year of study but in the case of MB,BS Students, the first year of Stage 1 of the programme must be completed.

Criteria:

The award will be based on:

Academic performance based on the results of the previous academic year University examinations (at least a GPA of 3.3);
Verifiable financial need;
Involvement in co-curricular activities.

Method of Selection:

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by personnel from the Administration of the UWI and a representative from the Credit Union.

The member's account held at the Credit Union MUST be active at the time of application.
